Atlanta Snow 2009

From Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns:

Snow is still in the forecast for Thursday, but the arrival time has been pushed into the late afternoon and evening. Snow is likely in North Georgia with accumulations of a half to one inch for metro Atlanta, the snow will first be mixed with rain so accumulations will only been around a trace. A wintry mix is likely for the southside. Stay tuned for changes. It will be even colder this weekend with more Arctic air on the way.

Tonight:Clear early and then a few morning clouds. Lows in the 20s to upper teens.

Tomorrow: Turning cloudy and then snow, and a mix by afternoon. 60% chance of snow. Winds SW 5-15 mph. highs near 40. Accumulating snow likely in the mountains.

Friday: Partly sunny. Winds NW 10-15 mph. Lows near 20; highs in the upper 20s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Cold. Lows in the mid teens; highs in the mid to upper 20s.

Sunday: Sunny, continued cold. Lows in the teens; highs in the low 30s.
